Ting Yuan Fish Head Hotpot (廷园麻辣鱼头火锅)

Meet a group of frens (SiangWei, Shuxuan, Joseph & DunYong) to go try out the food at this small eatery. This place is quite small which can squeeze in only 10 tables or so both indoors and on the five-footway in Liang Seah Street.

They offers the hotpot/buffet-style Sichuan mala steamboat in three levels of spiciness: mild, medium and full-strength.

We ordered the mild level, cos most of us can't really take spicy food. Our pot is split into two, with one half filled with a milky chicken broth. Their chicken broth is very tasty (actually that depends on wat u put into this broth)

The highest level is two-thirds chilli oil and one-third soup. Only natives from China's Sichuan and Hunan provinces are known to order this.

On the menu are more than 40 items of food that you can order to cook in either the mala or the chicken stock. You pay $16.80 per person, regardless of what you pick. The soups, however, carry an extra $5 charge.

Many of the items are standard steamboat fare such as fish glue, fishball, squid, prawn, chicken and pork fillet, pig liver, wonton and a variety of mushrooms and vegetables. And yes, we ordered their fish head as well - cut into bite-sized pieces, to make our chicken broth taste better. Their fish items are nice, personally like fish glue =P

What makes this hotpot special too is the dipping sauce. I personally find their sesame sauce is very special and it goes well the item u dip in.

As for the price, we spent abt $20+ per person, with drinks (tea is free-flow).

As for their service... i would say it's average. They actually forget our drinks until we remind them again. But overall still ok. 1 thing to note, if u don't wanna spend too much time waiting for your food to come, it's better that u sit downstairs. Their service will be faster than upstairs.

Chin Chin Famous Chicken Rice

Chin Chin Famous Chicken Rice is at bugis area, this shop is located along Purvis St.

JR recommended this place for our dinner yesterday. The place is packed wif many customers, lucky we arrive abit earlier than the normal dinner time, therefore we don't need to wait to be seated.

But it exactly worth the time waiting de.... cos their roasted chicken that we ordered tasted very nice, their sambal kang kong tasted yummy too. Hmm...juz that their hotpot taofu tasted so so only & the hotpot is not hot at all when served.

But overall this place is still worth visiting, highly recommended for their roasted chicken ;P

This all cost ard $25 only, their price are quite reasonable.

Why am i so Happy???

It's b'cos i finally got my N82...Yapee!! it's a phone that i longed wanna to buy. Actually was aiming for N95 since last Nov, but after careful thinking...finally decide to settle wif N82. Since last mid-Dec, I had been waiting for the a gd deal to get my N82.

Finally got it on a roadshow on 12.01.08 wif accompany by JR. Also received a free New Moon Hamper wif this N82 at the roadshow. And I redeemed a Prosperity Bag wif an exclusive 4pcs bowl set @ that shopping mall too.... wat a lucky day!! See... =P

hmm...was wake up by my dad early this morning, he wanna go try out 丽芳粥品 @ Jln Bukit Merah. So wif my sleepy eyes, i went there wif my parents.

At least it's worth my effort of giving up slp to come all the way here... it's yummy, i highly recommend this to everyone of ur. shld go try it out.

This is my first time here. Finally got a chance to enjoy the sea breeze... Yeah!!

It's a nice hangout place where u can see the nite light of the ships & buildings along the shore, look at the cloudy sky, watch the planes & enjoy the sea breeze while watching other ppl fishing, here are some photoshots ;p

N.Y.D.C

Had dinner at N.Y.D.C yesterday (05.01.08), tried their baked-rice which is highly recommended by JR. It turn out.....all dishes that we ordered are YUMMY!!! and they served all these dishes pretty fast too =D

This's my oven-baked rice...hee...too yummy liao, had eaten half way then i remember need to take photo =p He ordered mushroom oven-baked rice, i didn't try his but it seem quite tasty, mayb nxt time i shld order that.

A day @ Vivocity on 01.01.08

Today is a very Happy & Great Day to start the New Year 2008.

Had been to Vivocity in the evening wif JR to watch National Treasure 2, juz in time to take a last look at the decoration for Christmas that Vivo had put up... here's is their crystals tree at 1st sty (main entrance).
And their lighted Christmas Tree at the roof gdn.

The movie is nice, juz that this time they hv lesser puzzles to solve than NT1.

We went to Marche for our dinner, hmm...it's had been a long time that i last been to Marche.



I ordered my fav Root Beer =P but the Grilled Chicken Breast that I ordered is abit over-cooked, quite hard...but i like the mashed potato that come wif the main dish.

This is wat he order....it's taste yummy!!! it's pancake wif cheese & mushroom inside....nice nice, juz that the chief didn't heat it long enough, so it dun hv the warm feeling when u re eating it. But it's still a nice one...
